Elmer Pit/5th Line and 10th Sideroad
The Elmer pit was issued a stop work order in March for non-compliance to the site alteration agreement. The two areas that the operator was not in compliance were dumping soil within 30 metres of the boundary and exceeding the height of the roadway. The pictures that were sent to the MNR from a neighbour showed the pile of fill that was put in over a weeks time frame and this alerted the MNR site manager to the gravity of the situation. Thank you for helping to make the stop order happen.
New Tecumseth, A Legacy of Agriculture “Fields of Expression Project” for Emerging and Experienced Artists, May 22 until June 15
Open call to all Emerging and Established Artists of all ages working in any medium, 12″ x12″ canvas provided. Must have been created within the last 12 months and be for sale. Canvases will be displayed in store windows in Alliston. Each canvas will be auctioned off, sight unseen, as a fundraiser for the South Simcoe Arts Council.
